EBC Pier and Boat Slip Policy:
Applicants must be members of the Edgewater Beach Corporation (EBC) to hold a slip or be on the waiting list.
Membership and slip fees must be remitted no later than January 1st of each year. The EBC Board of Directors shall determine and approve membership and slip fees on an annual basis.
A waitlist will be kept by the EBC Dockmaster. Slips will be offered as they become available in priority order as established by the waitlist.
A slip holder must be the registered and insured owner of the boat occupying the slip.
A slip may not be sublet.
Current slip holders will have priority for the same slip or another available slip for the upcoming calendar year, provided they used their slip the previous season.
If dues and slip rental fees are paid, any slip not used the previous season will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
Use of any EBC boat slip does not convey any ownership rights. If a slip holder sells or rents his or her home, the new resident must apply for a slip.
Slip privileges will be rescinded if they are used in a manner detrimental to EBC property or the community. This action requires a majority vote of the EBC Board of Directors.
During the boating season, the absence and non-use of a slip for more than 4 weeks should be reported to the Dockmaster in advance.
The Dockmaster may permit the use of the slip when it is not occupied by the slip holder and may reassign any slip that is vacant for an extended period of time without pre-approval.
Electric cords must be NEMA compliant and in safe working order.
Electric, propane, butane, gas, or other types of heaters are not permitted to be used on any boat occupying an EBC boat slip at any time.
All slip holders must keep a current insurance policy on file with the Dockmaster.
No overboard discharge of any kind is allowed while a boat is occupying an EBC slip.
All boats must be secured and moored to the satisfaction of the Dockmaster.
Slip holders are liable for any damage incurred by their boats, to other boats or EBC property.
Slip holders and accompanied guests use all EBC property and facilities at their own risk.
This Agreement is for the use of a boat slip only for the above-described boat ("Boat"), and such a boat slip shall be used at the sole risk of the slip holder. Edgewater Beach Corporation shall not be liable for the care or protection of the boat, nor for any loss or damage of whatever kind or nature to the boat, its contents, gear or equipment, or any other property howsoever occasioned.
